about

The general show structure uses our host, Jake Starkey’s conversations and exploration of the culture to tie the show segments together. The ebb-and-flow transitions from hosted on camera segments to natural interviews and structured pieces. This allows for the story to emerge naturally and lets the people tell about their life and ministry in an authentic way.

Stories shared in the show will help viewers appreciate the culture and its history. We will show their relevance to the over arching story, the vision of a person or organization, the impact within a community and the working of God.

We strive for authenticity in the story development and execution, allowing people to tell their own stories, in order to make it an immersive experience for the audience.

CONNECT

The Vision

The hope for this episodic series is that it will spark a missional mindset and renew a missions passion. We desire people, communities and churches to come together and see how much of a benefit and help the Gospel can be to culture, while giving them a love for image-bearers in other cultures.

The show host utilizes the exploration of culture, cuisine and connection with some light-hearted Texan comedy. The series feels similar to Anthony Bourdain’s Parts Unknown.

The goal for the viewer is to have an understanding of what God is doing in a particular people group on this planet, how God can use people in their own culture and how the viewer can be used in their own community to impact those around them.

Sincerely,
The GO: Team
